Ten Thousand Miles

I often get requests for this song – and this video, which comes from the ‘In Search of Nic Jones’ concert in London last year – the first time in thirty years that Nic had sung a solo piece, albeit with his son Joe playing guitar.

Regular readers of this blog will already have heard all there is to hear from me about my musical hero, the great Nic Jones; for those who haven’t, check out his website here, including the story of the disastrous accident in 1982 that put his extraordinary career on hold for thirty years.

Mainly Norfolk has an excellent piece on ‘Ten Thousand Miles’ (also known as ‘The Turtle Dove’ here, including lyrics of several versions of the song.
