There have been a lot of people on Facebook recently sharing albums that shaped them when they were teenagers, which is quite interesting. I thought I’d also like to share my current ‘Top Twenty’ – in alphabetical order by artist surname, with the proviso that I will not let myself pick more than one album per artist. These albums are by the artists I currently play the most and consider essential to my musical well-being and inspiration.

Anyone else like to share their top twenty?
A good choice although I am not familiar with all of them. My go to albums at the moment include Dougie Maclean Till tomorrow, Kate Rusby 20, Nicola Benedetti Homecoming and Alison Balsom Paris.
I only know one of them so that’s three more for me to try out! Thank you! Nicola Benedetti is amazing, isn’t she?
Yes I watched her when she won Young Musucian of the year. Alison Balsom is a brilliant trumpet player.
